Wall Paint: For Interior Walls, smudge-proof, opaque, white

Suitable for following substrates: paper, woodchip wallpaper, vinyl wallpaper, glass fiber fabric, gypsum cardboard, gypsum plaster, lime plaster, lime-cement plaster, cement plaster, synthetic resin plaster, dispersion paints. The substrate must be dry and free of dirt .

Processing

Recipe for base coat on interior walls: Solve 300 g Cellulose Glue K 300 (#63600) in 10 liter cold water. Stir until the Cellulose Glue no longer floats (approximately 5 minutes) and let soak overnight .

Add 7 kg Chalk from Champagne (#58000) and 3 kg Titanium White (# 46200 ) to the glue solution . To avoid lumps it would be better to soak the pigments in water over night. In this case the water which is needed for the pigments should be subtracted from the amount of water used to dissolve the cellulose glue.

As needed: Add 4 liter Acrylic-Dispersion K 9 (#75367) for a smudge-proof paint and an elastic grounding .

Covers approx. 100 m2 .

Note

An addition of 500 g fine Glass flakes (e.g. #59 851 ) creates a glittering effect.

Instead of white pigments, this recipe can also be made with other colours. Use 10 kg of a pigment which is suitable for acrylic dispersions instead of the mixture mentioned above. Very fine pigments, such as synthetic-organic pigments, may need more binding medium. In this case, the amount of pigments in this recipe should be reduced. It is necessary to test whether the amount of binding medium is sufficient. If the paint shows chalking, add more binding medium. If necessary, add Orotan 732 K (#78032) as a surfactant. Cadmium pigments are not recommended for wall paints!
